ROCKINGHAM – Lindie Ray McLain, 67, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. 

Lindie was born February 14, 1951 in Richmond County, a son of the late Neil Benjamin McLain and the late Frances Lynch McLain Powell. He attended Glenwood United Methodist Church and had retired from the maintenance department of Richmond County Schools. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David McLain. 

Surviving are his wife, Ginger Morrow Haigler McLain; son, Ben McLain of Ellerbe; grandchildren, Kinleigh and Presley McLain; step-daughter, Miranda Haigler Roberts (Andy) of Raeford and sisters, Lillie Mae Kelley of Lincoln Park, MI and Fae Bailey of Luray, VA. 

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Saturday at Glenwood United Methodist Church in Rockingham with Rev. Joel Perry officiating. Interment will follow in McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will see friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm Saturday at the church and at other times at Ben’s home, 242 McIntyre Rd., Ellerbe.
