Lois Chappell Maske

ROCKINGHAM — Lois Chappell Maske, 83, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Richmond Co. Hospice Haven.

She was born Dec. 17, 1938 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late John P. and Juanita Hartis Chappell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elihu Maske; a sister, Hazel Cox; and brothers Edward Chappell, Vernon Chappell and Bill Chappell.

Mrs. Maske was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired in 2003 from Burlington Industries with 31 years of service. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Butler and the Rev. Tim Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving, her children, Denise Morris (Don) of Mint Hill, Darrell Maske (Denane) of Ellerbe, and Norma Jean Bostick(Joey) of Hamlet; grandchildren, Walker Morris (Emily), Ben Morris (Rebecca), -Sarah Anne Maske, Eli Maske, Brittany Bullard (Nick) and Dylan Bostick; great-grandchildren, Teigan Morris, Riley Morris, Lane Morris, Lucy Morris, McKenzie Bullard and Noah Bullard; siblings, Gurney Chappell, Shirley Dawkins, Earl Chappell, Louise Chappell, Carl Chappell, Johnny Chappell and Jerry Chappell.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at her home.
