HAMLET — Louise Taylor Thompson, 85, of Old Laurinburg Road, Hamlet, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
Ms. Thompson was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Scotland County, daughter of the late Jessie Taylor and Maybelle Wilson Taylor.
She was a member of Peele’s Chapel Wesleyan Church in Laurel Hill, serving as Sunday school teacher for many years. She loved God and loved her church.
Ms. Thompson was a loving mother and grandmother, and loved all of them. The Hallmark Channel was an enjoyment for her and she loved watching movies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William A. Thompson; son, Glenn Thompson; and son-in-law, Sidney (Tom) Dennis.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Dennis of Hamlet; grandchildren, Heather Angeles, Crystal Madsen, Kevin Dennis, April Dennis Banks, Glenn Allen Thompson Jr., and Amanda Thompson; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Tom, Xander, Isabell and Nevaeh.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be Friday, Jan. 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Richmond Memorial Park. Pastor Adam Smith and Minister Charles David will officiate.
Social distancing and masks are recommended for all services.
