ROCKINGHAM — Lowry Holt Walker Jr., of Rockingham, went to be home with Jesus on Aug. 12, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of Judy Wilson Walker for 53 wonderful years.
He is survived by his daughter, Courtnae Walker Blount (Davis) and son, Holt Walker (Suzy); as well as his grandchildren, Tyler Kantor, Blake Walker, Jay Davis Blount, Lauren Walker, and Walker Blount. He also leaves behind his brother, Randy Walker (Cathrine); as well as other extended family members.
Lowry was a faithful man who loved the Lord, his family, church, golfing group and community. He served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, Royal Ambassador leader, youth leader and in the handyman ministry at First Baptist Church of Hamlet. He also was a member of the Baptist Men On Mission and Gideons International. He was member of Watson-King Funeral Homes staff.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, Aug. 16, 2021 at First Baptist Church Hamlet at 208 Charlotte St., Hamlet. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. with the services beginning at 3 p.m. Entombment will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.
