CORDOVA — Margaret Lee Purvis Fisher, 92, of Cordova, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.
Mrs. Fisher was born July 4, 1927 in Anson County, a daughter of the late John and Lucy Deese Purvis. She was a longtime member of Cordova Baptist Church and had retired from Sara Lee Hosiery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Fisher, and a daughter, Barbara Jo Payne.
Surviving are her children, Donna Gainey (Mickey) of Cordova, Sybil Heath (Jimmy) of Ellerbe, Donald P. Fisher (Elizabeth) of Clearwater, Florida, Tim Fisher (Kim) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Kim Quick (Travis) of Cheraw, South Carolina, and Beth Ludlum (Josh) of Marston; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cordova Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Anderson and the Rev. Richie Yow officiating. Interment will follow in Morven Cemetery.
The family will see friends from 9:45–10:45 a.m. Friday at the church.
