HAMLET — Margaret Smith Miller, 94, of Hamlet, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2021 at her home.
She was born March 8, 1927 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late General Shafter and Bertha Deese Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earle Pat Miller; daughters, Sandra Clark and Susan Stewart; and a grandson, Kevin Stewart.
Mrs. Miller worked several years for JC Penny. She was a very loving and caring person.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Chris Thornton of Richmond Co. Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.
Surviving, a daughter, Ginger Watson and husband Lee; grandchildren, Robert P. Clark IV and wife Ginger, and Christopher Clark and wife Tina; and great-grandchildren, Page and Katie Clark.
The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
