HAMLET — Marie M. Hill, 79, of Hamlet, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021 at her home surrounded by her sons.
She was born Nov. 13, 1941 in Belmont County, Ohio, daughter of the late Jim and Evelyn Mills Milbert.
Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and a member of Laurinburg Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Kenneth L. Hill, in 2010.
Mrs. Hill enjoyed a career in accounting, was a devoted mother of three sons, and a full-time minister’s wife for over 50 years. Her late husband was The Rev. Kenneth Hill of Hamlet Church of Christ.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday, Oct. 4, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Laurinburg Christian Church, 1111 Turnpike Road Laurinburg, with the Rev. John Brand officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Holly Memorial Gardens, Martin Ferry, Ohio.
Surviving are her sons, David Hill of Charlotte, Timothy Hill of Stockbridge, Georgia, and Jonathan Hill of Hamlet; a sister, Sandra McLeod and husband Jim of Ohio; her grandchildren, Chris and Tien Hill, Cody and Fatimah Hill all of Charlotte; she adored her two great-grandchildren Hayden and Penelope Hill of Charlotte.
