BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. — Mary Alice Quick Proctor, 77, of Bennettsville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 4, 2019 at home.
Mrs. Proctor was born Dec. 27, 1941 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Rayford and Mary Steen Quick. She was a member of Abundant Life Church and had retired from Abbot Laboratory in Laurinburg. Following her retirement, she worked with Country Day Care and currently with Sandhills Childrens Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Quick.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jim Proctor; children, Sandy Wayne Robinson (Sandy) of Rockingham and John Wayne Proctor (Sandy) of Miami, Oklahoma; grandson Zane Searcy; brothers, James Quick of Bennettsville, South Carolina, Charles Quick of Laurinburg; and sisters, Marie Jordan of Cheraw, Molly Brigman of Bennettsville and Margie Steen of Hamlet.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Abundant Life Church with the Rev. Joe B. Wilkes Jr. and Pastor Eddie McLean officiating. Interment will follow in the Quick Cemetery in Bennettsville.
The family will see friend from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
