ROCKINGHA — Nancy Moore Glidewell, 82, of Rockingham, passed away on Feb. 7, 2020 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Nancy was born on Dec. 8, 1937 in Richmond County, the daughter of the late James C. Moore and Nettie Thomas Moore. Nancy worked at Burlington Industries and was a member of Cordova Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Martin and Mitchell Moore.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rufus Glidewell; her sons, Mark Glidewell, Brian Glidewell (Joanna), grandchildren Dustin Glidewell, Keagan Glidewell,Hannah Glidewell, Emily Glidewell; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Anne Elliott and Margaret Cogdell.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10 at Cordova Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Anderson and the Rev. Bill Monroe officiating. Burial followed in Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family received friends and family on Sunday, Feb. 9 from 5–7 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
