HAMLET — Naomi Brigman Peele, 89, of Hamlet, passed away, Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at her residence.
She was born May 9, 1932, in Richmond County, daughter of Alexander Brigman and Maggie Rainwater Brigman.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Hamlet and she loved her church. When her health permitted she was very active in her church. She enjoyed crafts, painting and gardening. But her whole life was centered around her family. She will be missed!
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Second Baptist Church from 1-2 p.m.
The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chris Hawks officiating. Burial will follow at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Pete” Peele; great-grandson, Parker O’Neal; brothers and sisters, Louise, Lindo, Jack, Genoah, Margaret and Odessa.
Survivors include her daughters, Terri Nichols (Tommy) of Rockingham and Sandy Benfield (Mark) of Hamlet; grandchildren, Rachel N. Connolly, Kent Gillis (Kelli), George Benfield, Charlie O’Neal (Jeremia), Matt O’Neal (Lisa), and Mike Nichols (Lindsey); and nine great-grandchildren.
