LAUREL HILL — Nelson Thomas Barrington, 67, of Laurel Hill, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at his residence.
He was born in Richmond County, Nov. 5, 1954, son of Ernest Barrington and Josephine Brigman Barrington.
Mr. Barrington was a member for several years in the band Third Degree in which he played rhythm guitar. He was a craftsman in any type woodwork or carving and loved “New Yankee Workshop.” He was very talented with working on computers.
A visitation will be held at Harrington Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 14, from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral will be held at Harrington Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, Gibson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Barrington; sisters, Linda Barrington and Peggy Barrington; and two brothers, Freddy Barrington and Jimmy Barrington..
Survivors include his daughter, Katina Brayboy of Rockingham; son, Eric Barrington of Hamlet; sister, Virginia Jeffrey of Rockingham; two grandchildren, Chelsea Brayboy and Justin Hewitt; one great-grandchild, Kali Hewitt; and his special friend and companion, Barbara Leviner. .
