HAMLET — Norman Leslie Harding Jr., 69, of Hamlet, passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond.
Mr. Harding was born June 7, 1952, son of the late Norman Harding Sr. and Chris Harding.
Norman was a truck driver with Cortek, Inc.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Peggy Grooms Harding; daughter, Norma Jean Harding; sisters, Patsy Stogner and Nancy Harding; and sister-in-law, Ann Harding.
Surviving Norman are his son, Buddy Harding of Hamlet; daughter, Lori Taylor of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; stepdaughters, Debbie (Ricky) Ammons, Lisa (Lee) Stewart, Lori Turnage, and Robbie (Johnny) Terry; sister, Betty Nicholson of Rockingham; brother, Jimmie Dean Harding of Rockingham; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and a very special, long time friend, Gerald Mabe.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home Chapel, with Gerald Mabe officiating.
