ELLERBE — Allen Lee Dawkins, 31, of Ellerbe, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Allen was born Oct. 7, 1991 in Moore County, North Carolina, to Randy Eugene Dawkins and Elizabeth Lane Berry.
He graduated from Rockingham Christian Academy and was a member of Cartledge Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mud bogging and most of all spending time with people, especially his fiancé Jill.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roy Lee Berry Jr. and Eugene “Gene” Dawkins.
Surviving are his parents, Randy Dawkins and Elizabeth Berry; brothers, Seth Eugene Dawkins and Damon James Talley; fiancé Melina Jill Cottingham; grandmothers, Carol Berry and Shirley Chappell Dawkins; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Cartledge Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Lutz officiating. Interment will follow in the Dockery Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:45-2:45 p.m. at the church and at other times at the home of Vickie Hardesty.
