Amilcar Espinoza Martinez, 54, of Hamlet, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023 at his home.
He was born Sept. 18, 1969 in Mexico, son of the late Evaristo Martinez Hernandez and Teresa Espinoza Bustament.
Amilcar was a very humble, kind man. It was important to him to care and provide for his family, especially in raising and taking care of his children. He was always there for his family. His other enjoyment was raising chickens. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Amilcar is survived by his beloved wife, Juana Laura Huerta of the home; children, Diana Martinez (Daniel Peterman), Ana Martinez (Joseph Little), and Gabriel Martinez, all of Hamlet; grandchildren, Aiden Martinez and Daniella Tatiana Martinez-Peterman; father and mother-in-law, Roberto and Maria Huerta of Hamlet; brothers, Ramon Martinez and Roberto Ramirez, both of Mexico; sister, Petra Martinez of Mexico; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.
The funeral mass will be on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Hamlet, with Father Fidel Melo officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
