MOUNT GILEAD — Angela Joann Shepard, 60, of Mount Gilead, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022.
Joann was born Nov. 10, 1961 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Clyde Shepard Jr. and Dorothy Jane Carroll Shepard.
She was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School and had worked in textiles and as a sitter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Shepard; and a son, Timothy Blake.
Surviving are her children, Rebekah Leonard (Joey) and Daniel Purvis (Taylor); grandchildren, Katelyn Leonard, Riley Purvis, John Leonard and Jarrett Purvis; her significant other, Tim Blake; sisters, Darlene Estridge (David) and Kristy Shepard; brother, Jerry Shepard; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Jelly Bean and George.
The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
