OBITUARY: Arlene Virginia Parsons Ingram

Arlene Virginia Parsons Ingram, born in Montgomery County, May 9, 1920 to Thomas Alexander Parsons and Callie McCallum Parsons, died on May 7, 2024 at the age of 103.

She was married to her husband, Jack Ingram, for 78 years. Arlene was a fabulous homemaker, great cook and seamstress, as she once made an evening gown out of curtains. She also enjoyed crafting and was well accomplished with everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Ingram; son, Reggie Ingram; grandson, Eddie Warren; siblings, D.C. Parsons, Roy Parsons, Quinton Parsons and Delilah Hudson.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marion Martin; daughter in-law Dottie Ingram; son, Steve Ingram (Dot); six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews who she was very fond of; her neighbor and good friend, Barbara Ingram.

A very special thank you to her niece, Terry Wallace, and nephews, Johnny and Lindsey Parsons, for their visits, love and concern. Thank you also to FirstHealth Hospice for caring for her.

Services will be held at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 3 p.m. The family will receive visitors between 1:45 and 2:45 at Carter Funeral Home.

The Rev. Ken Lyerly will be officiating. Interment will be at Ellerbe cemetery.

Memorials can be sent to First United Methodist Church in Ellerbe or First Health Hospice.
