Beaneti Burlene Wesson, 81, formerly of Hamlet passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
She was born May 3, 1941, in Dalton, Georgia, daughter of the late Burl Blair Brooks and Alene Beaneti Hull Brooks.
Mrs. Wesson owned and operated Denson Supply Company. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved stepfather, Gerald Hays; her husband of 63 years, Thomas R. Wesson Jr.; son, David Wesson; sister, Dorothy Studebaker; and granddaughter, Shannon Wesson.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Parker (Alan) of Grenada, West Indies; daughter, Lori Lynn (Anthony) of Rockingham; close family friend, Claireann Haines of Hamlet; five grandchildren, Samantha, Christy, Mandy, Tiffany and Chris; and several well-loved great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 2-2:45 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1247 Sandhill Road, Rockingham.
The memorial service will follow visitation beginning at 3 p.m. with Pastor Butch Park officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1247 Sandhill Road, Rockingham, NC 28379; or Richmond County Hospice, 1119 N. U.S. Hwy 1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
