Billy Ray Shaw, 64, of Cordova, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 4, 1959, in Davidson County, son of the late Franklin Darryl Shaw and Nina Mae Shaw.
Mr. Shaw worked in construction as a subcontractor and was a hard worker and wonderful provider for his family. He was a member of Abundant Life Church. He was known to be strong-willed and had a big heart for people and loved caring for them. Mr. Shaw spent many hours outside, in his garden and doing yard work which he took pride in. He was a great husband, father and PawPaw.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Billy Ray Shaw Jr.; and sister, Carol Louise Shaw Hinsley.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Ingram Shaw of the home; sons, Brian Overman of Cordova and Michael Overman of Sanford; and granddaughters, Taylor Overman and Kimberley Overman.
All services will be held private by the family.
