Blanche Dennis Cummings, 90, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2023 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
She was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Robeson County, daughter of the late Archie Dennis and Nancy Sweatt Dennis.
Blanche was a simple lady. She loved watching television, especially westerns. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She loved her family dearly and will be missed.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge Lee Cummings; daughter, Dorothy Ann Goins; grandson, Jesse Odell Goins; and brothers, Sidney, Huey, Randolph and Leo Dennis.
Blanche is survived by her children, Kay Todd (Jarrell) of Rockingham, Joanie Cummings of Hamlet, Billy Cummings (Susan) of Laurinburg, Robert Cummings (Darlee), Jerry Cummings and Archie Cummings, all of Rockingham; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 24, 2023 from noon-1 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home.
The funeral will begin immediately following the visitation, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
