Bobby Eugene Grooms, 59, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2024 at home in Rockingham, North Carolina.
Bobby was born. March 24, 1964 in Rockingham to Lee Roy Grooms and Virginia Kerns Grooms, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Crenshaw Grooms of the home; sons, Joshua Grooms and wife Jessica (with daughter Taliya) of Ellerbe, and Christopher Crenshaw and wife Hailey of Zolfo Springs, Florida; daughter, Hanna Marks of Ellerbe; brothers, Ricky Grooms, Ronald Grooms, Larry Grooms, Ken Grooms and sister, Marshelle Webb, all of Rockingham; along with several nieces and nephews that he held dearly like Twinkle, Jana and LeAnna.
Bobby loved his family more than anything. He was proud of his children and loved his cats. His favorite time spent was sitting outside with Dana while they watched birds and drank coffee. He enjoyed his work with Superior Cranes over the last 17-plus years and loved to travel with the crew.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date by the family. Bobby was a great family man who loved to laugh and have a good time. He will be greatly missed.
