HAMLET — Bobby Eugene Hoffman, 73, of Hamlet, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Mr. Hoffman was born April 5, 1949, in Richmond County, son of the late Paul Henry and Beulah Everett Hoffman.
He served our country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving two tours there.
Mr. Hoffman was employed with Burlington Industries prior to his retirement. He was a humble man and loved spending time with his wife and family. He was an avid musician, playing both guitar and keyboard, and loved spending time creating music in his music room. He also enjoyed fishing, especially at the beach, watching wrestling, and loved his puppies, Bertie and Little Bit.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phillip Hoffman and sister, Diane Russ.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his loving wife, Willie Boone Hoffman of the home; daughter, Barbara Schoonover (John Speight), of Hamlet; brothers, David Hoffman (Victoria) of Shallotte and Paul Hoffman (Judy) of Rockingham; and grandson, Robby Bingham.
A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, Aug. 5, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Outreach for Jesus, with Pastors Tony Clark, Richie Baker, and Marvin Taylor officiating.
