A memorial service for Mrs. Candy Jean Benoist Mabe Mundy will be conducted Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 3 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church on Midway Road, Rockingham, with the Rev. Roger Webster officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. till service time.
Candy died, unexpectedly, in Mooresville, where she lived with her husband, Danny Joe Mundy, at the age of 42, on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024.
She worked in sales and marketing.
She was born Aug. 7, 1981 to the late Clyde Grady Benoist Jr. and Regina C. Benoist.
Candy was a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a sister.
She was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Matthew Benoist; and her stepfather, Ronnie “Runt” Wallace.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Mundy; her children, Kelsey Lynn Mabe, Logan Brent Mabe and Madison Nicole Wallace; and a granddaughter, Madison Nicole Wallace; and great-grandchild Adalynn Grace Thomas; her mother, Regina Taylor and husband George Taylor; a half-sister, Caley Nichole Watkins (Alfonzo); a stepsister, Catherine Allison Wallace; and five nieces and nephews.
