ROCKINGHAM — Carol Reaves Allen, 75, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 at her residence.
She was born Oct. 5, 1947, daughter of the late Joseph Aaron Reaves and Jessie Eugenia Ballard Reaves.
Carol worked as a registered nurse for many years. She loved gardening and her plants, and loved all animals, especially her sweet dog, Rambo. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed working with her hands.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Aaron and Jessie Eugenia Reaves; and a brother, Delbert Aaron Reaves.
Carol is survived by her children, Lisa Blake Lassiter (Richard) of Rockingham and Joseph Michael Blake; sisters, Claudette Stone of Rockingham and Loretta Fountain (Charles) of Holden Beach; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet. The family will greet friends and guests following the service.
