ROCKINGHAM — Charlotte Wilson Beck, 78, of Rockingham, completed her earthly journey on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
Mrs. Beck was born Oct. 15, 1944 in Fairfield, Virginia, a daughter of the late Maj. Arthur Nelson Wilson, U.S. Army Ret. and Gertrude Virginia Heavener Wilson.
She was a member of Roberdel Baptist Church and had worked as manager of Three Sisters Clothing, Cato and One Price Clothing. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two of her daughters, Angela Bates and Melissa Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Kiersten Rose.
Surviving are daughters, Tammy Kelsey (Barry) and Kimberly Cline (Mike); grandchildren; James Benoist, Heather Benoist, Marcus Bates Jr, Alysia Wilson, Marion Bates, Kalon Bates, Jacqueline Gardner, Lauren Millen, Baylee Kelsey and Jessica Solomon; and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brooklyn, Aubrey, Konner, Maveryck, Annabelle, Saylor, Jamison, Marcus, Greyson, Taylor, Eli, Alexis, L.J. and Kenneth
Funeral services will be at noon Monday, June 12, 2023, at Roberdel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Moore officiating. Entombment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will see friends from 6–8 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the Kelsey home.
