ROCKINGHAM — Our precious wife and mother, Cindy Edwards Crowson, passed away on Aug. 26, 2022. She lost her 23-year battle with cancer, but gained her heavenly home with the Lord and Savior.
She devoted her life to husband John Crowson, daughter Amanda Ransom (Mike), and grandchildren Bryan and Paige Ransom, who survive her.
Cindy was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Sept. 25, 1945 to loving parents. Her parents, the Rev. Eddie Edwards and Ruth Edwards, preceded her in death.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband John of 57 years, who was her best friend and caregiver. He was by her side until the very end. Her brother Buddy Edwards and sister-in-law Sherry, and nieces and nephews also survive her.
A graveside service will be Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022 at Eastside Cemetery at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Sonny Diggs officiating.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Richmond County for the care that was given to her during her last days.
