Cleo Grover Brock Jr., 70, of Rockingham, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024.
He was born April 9, 1953, in Danville, Kentucky, son of the late Cleo Grover Brock Sr. and Elizabeth Goldie Childers.
Cleo served our country in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he worked in manufacturing and textile mills in Richmond County, and also several locations as a security guard. He was a member and deacon with Springhill Wesleyan Church, Hamlet. He not only was an active member of the church but he also enjoyed helping feed the homeless as well as law enforcement. Cleo loved to fish and he was a happy, smiling man.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cleo Grover Brock Sr. and his mother, Elizabeth Goldie Childers Baxter.
Cleo is survived by his sons, Cleo Winchester (Angel) of Richmond, Kentucky, and Fredrick Brock (Beth Minder) of Rockingham; brother, Robert Brock of Hustonville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All services will be held private by the family.
