Dale Edwards, 68, of Rockingham passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024 at his home.
He was born March 15, 1956 in Richmond County, a son of the late David William and Nellie Mae Saunders Edwards.
Dale was a member of Glennwood Methodist Church and was retired data processor with Nucor Steel. He was an avid North Carolina Tar Heels fan and Washington Redskins fan. He really enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially loved listening to music and swinging in the swing with his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024 at 4 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Rachel Lampley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:45 p.m. prior the service at the funeral home and at other times at Dale’s home 523 Anson Ave., Rockingham, NC 28379.
Surviving, his wife of 48 years, Anne Martin Edwards; his children, Chris Edwards (Brandi) and Jessica Edwards Davis (William); grandchildren, Skylar Edwards (Zach), Gage Edwards, Luke Davis and Eva Laine Davis; brothers, Randy Edwards (Carrol) and Dean Edwards (Gloria); sister-in-law, Kay Boyd; numerous nieces and nephews; and five special caregivers.
