Denise Britt Morris, 71, of Rockingham, passed away surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024.
Denise was a daughter of the late Wilton and Luda Jenkins Britt and was born Jan. 21, 1953.
Denise was a graduate of Rockingham High School and would go on to get her LPN certification in nursing. After a few years, Denise would find a different calling and would work for Sara Lee Hosiery for several years before retiring. Outside of work, Denise loved crafting and had a special place in her heart for painting.
Denise is survived by her husband Bill, of the home, to whom she was married to for 52 years; children, Keri Morris and Adam Morris; grandchildren, Alex Morris (Andi) and Kelby Thompson; and her sister, Daphne Young.
A memorial service will be held at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham, Sunday, March 10 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Westforth officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Richmond County Hospice Haven.
