OBITUARY: Dennis L. Scott

Dennis L. Scott, born on Aug. 11, 1939, in Anderson, South Carolina, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, integrity, and dedication to family and country. He was the cherished son of the late Jack and Pauline Scott.

Dennis honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, a role that took him to Australia, Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia, and the greater Pacific region. This service instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism and pride. After his military career, Dennis continued to make his mark as a marketing representative for the Conoco Oil Company, where his hard work and commitment were highly respected.

A man of many talents, Dennis was also a passionate golfer. His skill on the course was proven by his two-time championship wins at Richmond Pines Country Club, a testament to his competitive spirit and dedication to excellence.

Dennis was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Suzanne Scott, with whom he shared 61 wonderful years. Together, they raised three sons — Andy, Stacy, and David — who were the pride of his life. He also delighted in his role as a grandfather to Brandon, Preston, and Drew, and as a great-grandfather to Colin, Branson, Kingsley, and Caroline. Each family member brought him immense joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
