HAMLET — Donald Philip Walker, 87, of Hamlet, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
He was born Sept. 23, 2023, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, son of the late Glenn S. Walker and Mary Hartley Walker.
Mr. Walker was a well-educated gentleman, earning his Master’s degree and worked as an engineer in boat manufacturing for several years. He was also a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rockingham.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Walker.
Mr. Walker is survived by his brother, Hartley Walker of Hamlet; sisters, Susanne Steinke of Strongsville, Ohio, Joanne Linerode of Alliance, Ohio, and Molly Rae Jerman of St. Petersburg, Florida; and a host of friends with the fellowship of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rockingham.
