ROCKINGHAM — Edward J. Balzer, 81, of Rockingham passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022 at his home.
He was born March 19, 1941 in Dunkirk, New York, a son of the late Murphy and Agnes Catherine Lawrence Balzer.
Mr. Balzer retired from the City of Dunkirk, New York, as heavy equipment operator and foreman of Streets Department.
He was preceded in death by a son Edward; brothers Daniel and Frank; and a sister, Mary.
Funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham with Deacon Alexander Vicent officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.
Surviving, daughter, Lisa of Nineveh, Indiana; sons, Randolph (Suzanne) and Greg (Teresa) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Alexander, Brittany, Chelsea, Corbin, Randy, Andrew, Gregory, Caleigh, Cody, Brookyn, Chase and Emma; grandchildren, Konner, Arley, Nathan, Maverick and Avery.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the service at the funeral home.
