Glenn Harrison Wallace Sr., 83, of Rockingham, went home to the Lord Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Glenn was a son of the late Duncan T. Wallace and Annie Belle Wallace.
He is also preceded in death by sister-in-law Margaret Wallace.
Glenn worked for many years and retired from Interstate Brands Bakery. Glenn was a man that cherished many things in life. He loved his family; he enjoyed being outside on his tractor and tending to his garden. He loved his church and treasured his relationship with the Lord.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Betty Raye Wallace, to whom he married for a blissful 61 years; a daughter, Pamela R. Wallace Smith (Fred), and a son, Glenn H. Wallace Jr. (Brooke). He is further survived by grandchildren Glenn H. Wallace III, Rebekah Grace Wallace and Rachel LeAnne Wallace; one great-granddaughter; brothers Wayne Wallace (Margaret), Ronnie M. Wallace and Tim Wallace; and brother-in-law Don Raines.
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at Crestview Baptist Church from 1-2 p.m. A celebration of Glenn’s life will immediately follow with Pastor Robby Stewart officiating.
