Grace Gardner, 83, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024.
Grace was born Dec. 31, 1940, and was a daughter of the late John and Lula Baldwin.
Along with her parents, she is preceded by her eight siblings (five brothers and three sisters); and her youngest son, Mark Gardner.
Grace worked for many years in Richmond County’s school system working in the Finance Department. She was devoted to her family and attended Pine Grove Baptist faithfully for over 50 years. She ran the Pine Grove Children’s Church for 20 years.
Grace is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry Gardner; a son, Kevin Gardner and wife Karen; and grandchildren Hannah Gardner and Justin Gardner.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:30 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024 at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Carl Moree officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park Cemetery.
