OBITUARY: Harrell Dwayne Clark

LINCOLNTON — On Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, Mr. Harrell Dwayne Clark, 63, of Lincolnton and formerly of Monnroe, passed away peacefully at his home to be with his Lord and Savior.

A service will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, by the graveside in Forestville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lilesville, where he will be laid to rest beside his father.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Dwayne was born April 29, 1959, in Anson County, and was a son of the late James Calvin Clark Jr. and the late Ollie Vastie Melton Clark.

He was a 1977 graduate of Bowman High School.

A Roffler stylist with 38 years experience, he was a graduate of the Hairstyling Institute of Charlotte in 1986. He had worked in salons and spas in Charlotte, Rockingham, and Monroe. During his career, he was acknowledged as an award-winning colorist. He was also the owner of Z-Mowing Lawn Care, Monroe.

Dwayne was a member of the Church of Christ, and his faith was very important to him.

He enjoyed weightlifting, playing the guitar, listening to and sharing music.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, the Rev. James Roger Clark and wife, Linda of Lexington, South Carolina and Chaplain Darrell Hilton Clark and wife, Laurie Ann of Lincolnton; and his nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paulette Clark Poole.
