HAMLET — Helen Price Hornaday, 92, of Hamlet passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at her residence.
She was born in McColl, South Carolina, on June 5, 1930, daughter of James Harrison Price and Carrie Grainger Price.
Mrs. Hornaday was a member of Second Baptist Church, Hamlet and previously worked in textiles.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip King officiating.
Visitation will be held after the service and burial will be private.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Hornaday; brothers, Earl Price, Jack Price and Ted Price; sister, Jimmie Ruth Price; and a grandson, Allen Patrick Flood.
Survivors are her daughter, Terry Hornaday (John Ham) of Hamlet; grandson, Steven King (Beth Simmons) of Rockingham and Philip King (Gina) of Cross Junction, Virginia; six great-grandchildren, Kylie, Tyler, Cole, Mason, Mason S. and Aubree; and a special granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Flood Grubbs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, 518, 4th St., Hamlet, NC 28345.
