ROCKINGHAM — Herman Samuel Searcy, 89, of Rockingham, completed his earthly journey on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023.
Mr. Searcy was born Nov. 20, 1933 in Rockingham County, a son of the late John Paul and Lessie Jones Searcy.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a self-employed mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Bullard Searcy; son, John Searcy; brother, Roy A Searcy; and an infant sister.
Surviving are his daughter, Lorraine S. Eubanks (Danny); grandchildren, Daniel Eubanks (Malena), Zane Searcy and his mother Sandy S. Robinson; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Griffith (Joseph), Braelyn Eubanks and Marlie Eubanks.
Private graveside services will be held in Eastside Cemetery.
