ROCKINGHAM — James Ralph McIntyre, 80, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital–Richmond Campus in Rockingham.
Mr. McIntyre was born Dec. 29, 1941 in Forsyth County, a son of the late Henry Lee and Roberta Poe McIntyre.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Claude and Harvey McIntyre; and sister, Jane Kearns.
Surviving are his siblings, Robbie Gibson, Sara Atkins, Edith Atkins, Frank McIntyre and Van McIntyre; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2022 in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with the Rev. Jack Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Norman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:45 -2:45 p.m. prior to the service and at other times at the Gibson home.
