James “Jimmy” Randleman II was born Feb. 8, 1968 in Indio, California, to parents Jim and Cheri Randleman. He moved to Rockingham and lived here 37 of his 54 years. He moved to Heaven on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022.
Jimmy worked for Jay Denham for many years, as well as the Richmond County Daily Journal and Charlotte Observer.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Clara Chester Randleman; his parents, Jim Sr. and Cheri Randleman; two brothers, Jeremy Randleman (Lisa) of Pinehurst and Justin Randleman (Vickie) of Rockingham. He has 11 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and -nephews. Also, many aunts and uncles in several different states.
A Celebration of Life memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at Freedom Baptist Church, 987 U.S. Hwy 1, Rockingham.
Because of his love of animals, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to ASPCA.
