ROCKINGHAM — Janice Faye Williams Greene, 74, of Rockingham, completed her earthly journey on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022.
Mrs. Greene was born Oct. 21, 1947 in Dillon, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Clarence “Buck” and Elsie Lee Tucker Williams.
She was a homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Church. She loved to live right, sing and spend time with her family, who loved her chicken and dumplings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Monroe Snead; and a brother, Earl Williams.
Surviving are her husband, Elvin Anerson Greene; children, Jonathan Monroe Snead, Roxanne Snead Bradshaw (Kenny) and Amy Snead Cox (Brent); nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, the Rev. Dr. Wayne Greene (Gail), the Rev. Ray Greene, Terry Greene and Wanda Bruce (Lawrence); six step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Barbara Jordan, Joyce Rainwater, Florine Durden (Allen), Ronnie Williams (Carol) and Joe Good (Ginny).
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 at Abundant Life Church, 1797 E. Broad Ave., Rockingham, with the Rev. Joe B. Wilkes Jr. and Preacher Kenny Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home of Roxanne and Kenny Bradshaw.
