ROCKINGHAM — Jasper “Butch” Knight, 49, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31,2022.
He was born in Richmond County, son of Charles “Tom” Knight and Bobbie Grant Deberry.
Butch was preceeded in death by both parents; his stepfather, Jerry Deberry; and brother, Mike Deberry.
Survivors include: daughter Brittany Lynn Knight (Dustin Braddock) of Rockingham, son Andrew Knight and daughter Celeste Knight; sisters Darlene “Screwney” Peele (Danny Ray) of Rockingham, Robin “Runt” Davis (Ray) of Rockingham; brother Charles “Skibo” Knight (Rachel) of Rockingham; Cindy Sweet (Boone) of Hamlet, Japheth “Dooter” Deberry (Kate) of New York, Kathy Dieffenbach (Joey) of Florida, Bryan Crouch of Asheboro and stepmother Brenda Knight of Hamlet; grandchildren Benson Starling, Cooper Braddock and Paislynn Braddock; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 at Jefferson Park Church at 4 p.m. with Chris Jacobs officiating. The family will be meeting at other times at the home of Brittany Knight, 152 Battley Dairy Road, Hamlet.
