MARSTON — Jimmy Anthony Smith, 80, of Marston passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2022 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
He was born Sept. 3, 1942 in Richmond County, a son of the late Claude Felton Smith Sr. and Casey M. Criscoe.
Mr. Smith was a member of Marston Baptist Church and served in N.C. National Guard. He worked several years as a charter pilot and retired from Mid South Club in Southern Pines as an irrigation specialist. He was a lover of nature birds, all animals and nature’s floral.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Richmond Co. Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Jim Ritter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the mausoleum.
Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Betsy Solomon Smith of Marston.
