ROCKINGHAM — Jimmy Leon Davis, 75, of Rockingham, passed away on Jan. 6, 2023.
Jimmy was born in Moore County on Sept. 13, 1947, a son of the late June Robert Davis and Evelyn Roller Davis.
He was retired from Norman Knitting Company. He loved people, cars and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nan Hodges Davis; son, Robert Leon Davis; and great-grandchild, Robert Bradley Vuncannon.
Surviving are his children, Ronald Lee Davis (Vickie) and Linda Gail Vuncannon; sister, Ann Davis Crotts; grandchildren, Kristen Vuncannon and Lindsey Vuncannon Kohl (Luke); and great-grandchild, Everleigh Cook.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Richmond County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dennis G. Smith and Pastor Wayne Greene officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home from 6–8 p.m.
