Kathy Lewis Davis, 70, of Hamlet, passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023 at Richmond County Hospice Haven, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 8, 1953, in Richmond County, daughter of the late Lonnie Lewis and Myrtle Merriman Lewis.
Prior to retirement, Kathy worked in textiles. Being a kind, caring, and humble lady, she would talk to anyone and never met a stranger. She was always smiling and full of life. Kathy was strong, even during times of illness, and never complained. She was a faithful woman, prayerful, and loved Jesus.
Family was the most important part of her life. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and her Car Club family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Estelle; and brother, Clifford Lewis.
Kathy is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Ray Davis of the home; children, Michelle Greene (Eric) of Spruce Pine, Susan Davis of Rockingham, and Michael Davis of Hamlet; her beloved grandchildren, Brandon Estelle, Ryan Estelle, Drew Greene, Avianah Greene, Alley Greene, Kiki Greene, Kelsey Byrd, Tai Nguyen, Kairi Nguyen, Imber Nguyen and Lucas Davis; and sister, Ginger Howell (Wesley) of Monticello, Florida.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
