Lauren Adams Austin, 41, of Rockingham. passed away Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023 at her home.
She was born May 20, 1982 in Richmond County, a daughter of Richard and Karen Adams.
Lauren graduated from Richmond Senior High in 2000, UNCW for her undergraduate degree and earned a Master’s from Wingate.
Lauren was a radiant soul who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her infectious smile and warm personality could brighten even the darkest of days. She possessed an unwavering sense of compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generosity touched the lives of countless people. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate to share in her journey.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hamlet with the Rev. Butch Farrah officiating. Burial will be private.
Surviving, her husband of 11 years, Chris Austin; son, Grey Wesley Austin; stepchildren, Calli Austin, Christopher Austin Jr. and Cassie Austin; parents, Richard and Karen Adams; a sister, Taylor Adams Walker and husband Ryan; niece, Carson Walker; grandson, Bentlee Callahan.
