HAMLET — Linda Schultz Hatchell, 75, of Hamlet, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023 at her residence.
She was born in Warren, Michigan, Jan. 19, 1948, daughter of Lois Ellis Blum.
Linda attended The Assembly of God in Rockingham. She loved reading her Bible and was a true example of Christ’s love. She was a beautiful lady not only in her appearance but in her actions, as she was loving, kind, caring and never met a stranger. In her relaxing times she enjoyed traveling, the pool, listening to the radio and singing. She loved taking care of her family and spending time with those she loved.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1252 Hwy. 57 S., Dillon, South Carolina, with Pastor Gene Alexander officiating. Burial will follow.
She was preceded in death by her mother; daughter, Laura Lewis; and son, Timothy Lewis.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Douglas Hatchell Jr., of the home; daughters, Kimberly Lewis of Hamlet and Jodi Lewis of the home; brothers, Larry Schultz of Florida and David Schultz of Missouri; and four grandchildren, Tommy Lewis, Theodore Lewis, John Tharp and Leslie Tharp.
