ROCKINGHAM — Lloyd Johnson, 76, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2022 with his grandson Dustin Alan Caulder as result of an automobile accident.
He was born Dec. 9, 1945 in Richmond County, a son of the late John A. and Ruth Shepard Johnson.
Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Army and N.C. National Guard. He retired from Unimin Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Jo Johnson; a sister, Mevis McNally; and brothers, Timothy Johnson, Douglas Johnson and John Johnson Jr.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham with military honors.
Surviving, a daughter, Angela Johnson Caulder of Rockingham; granddaughter, Kristian Hope Caulder; great-grandsons, Haston Alan Caulder, Kylan Hyatt and Kayden Jones; and sisters, Joan Henderson and Lois Bunn; and brothers, Legette “Pug” Johnson and Lonnie
Johnson.
