Miss Lori Sue Chewning, 31, of Rockingham, passed on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 at Duke University Hospital, Durham.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Lori on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, 7-9 p.m. at 911 Rockingham Road, Rockingham.
She is survived by her mother, Peggy Broadwater of the home; her father, James Edward Chewning of Albemarle; two brothers, Jessie Broadwater of the home and Vance Helms of Virginia; four aunts and two uncles; one niece, Natalie Marie Broadwater, whom she was very fond of, also known as “Nasty Nat;” and one special friend, Lucretia Chambers.
Lori enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her babies. Lori had a heart of gold, and her outer beauty always matched her inner beauty. Lori had a smile that would turn a blue, rainy day into a sunny day; with the birds singing, butterflies flying, puppies and kittens running and playing.
Lord, God how much you’re going to be missed by me and everyone who got the chance to know and love you.
It will always be you and me always and forever…..
