OBITUARY: Margaret Reynolds McInnis

ELLERBE — Margaret Reynolds McInnis, 80, of Ellerbe, completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022.

Born April 16, 1942 in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Grover Leigh “Red” and Margaret Allene McQueen Reynolds.

Margaret was an elementary school teacher for over 40 years. Margaret most of all loved her family well. She exemplified Christ’s love for us through her unconditional love of others. She was always the first to lend a helping hand giving of her time and any resource she owned to meet the needs of others. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her heart and there was no end to her affection for them. Margaret was a gifted homemaker who loved to sew, cook, quilt and could figure out how to make just about anything out of whatever supplies were available. She played the piano and organ beautifully and utilized those gifts in service to several churches over the years.

She was a devoted caregiver to her husband Charles, who in recent years has suffered from Alzheimers, never leaving his side until her death. Margaret will be missed greatly by her family and friends but those who are in Christ take comfort knowing that we will one day join her in heaven where “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the older order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4.) Praise be to God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; and a brother, Dale Reynolds.
