Marilynn “Denise” Brown, 65, of Rockingham, passed away surrounded by her loving family Feb. 23, 2024, at home.
Denise was a daughter of the late Henry and Blondell Webb and was born Feb. 21, 1959, in Richmond County.
Denise loved thrift shopping and traveling to the mountains. She had an affinity for animals, especially her dogs. Denise was a kind and loving woman that put her family first as a priority. She was a remarkable woman who will be dearly missed.
Denise is survived by her husband, of the home, Dwayne Brown, to whom she had been with for nearly 40 years. Denise leaves behind two children, Delia “Dee” Knight and Marvin Knight; siblings, Barbara Webb, Catherine Leviner, Cindy Dawkins and Eddie Webb; sister by choice, Betsy Earley; grandchildren, Sarah Quezada, Kaleb Lee, Jaxon Williams and Jace Williams; and her great-grandson, Cohen Quezada.
Family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 5-7 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Cobb Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Travis Conner officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park Cemetery in Rockingham.
