OBITUARY: Myrtle Frances Richardson Williams

BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. — Myrtle Frances Richardson Williams, 92, of Bennettsville, South Carolina, completed her earthly journey on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022.

Mrs. Williams was born June 18, 1930, in Richmond County, North Carolina, the eldest daughter of James Frank and Annie Mae Elmore Richardson. She was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and member of the WMU. For many years she worked with Thomas Memorial Day Care Center. She was a loving mother and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Williams and a sister Billie Mae Caulder.

Surviving are her children, Renee Moore (Billy) and Steve Williams (Emily); grandchildren, William Austin Moore, Mary English Moore, Brian Williams and Kathryn Williams; siblings, Jim Richardson, Doris Rainwater and Nellie Humphrey and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1247 Sandhill Road, Rockingham, North Carolina with the Rev. Butch Park officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
